ZOZEN Boiler provided an innovative molten salt thermal storage system for a domestic steel mill, which is combined with the gas turbine generator set, achieving efficient energy utilization and peak load support for the power system. The application of this technology not only improves the power generation efficiency but also provides a strong guarantee for the stable operation of the power system with a 6-hour thermal storage capacity, offering a storage of 79.5MWh.
The Role and Advantages of the Molten Salt Furnace:
The ZOZEN RYQ series molten salt furnace is the key to the success of this project. The RYQ-10500KW model of the molten salt furnace, with a thermal output of 9 million kcal/h, meets the project’s strict requirements for high-temperature heating processes. The low viscosity, high stability, and high thermal storage density characteristics of the molten salt furnace make it an ideal choice for large-scale, long-term medium and high-temperature thermal storage.
Improving Power Generation Efficiency: The introduction of the molten salt furnace has significantly improved the power generation efficiency of the gas turbine generator set, optimizing energy utilization through efficient heat conversion.
Strong Thermal Support: A thermal output of 9 million kcal/h provides a solid thermal foundation for the project’s high-temperature heating processes.
Significant Environmental Benefits: It is estimated that during the entire life cycle of the project, about 180,000 tons of carbon emissions can be reduced, and about 50 million m³ of short-term gas emissions can be collected, effectively reducing environmental pollution.
